Progress with each passing day: role of endoscopy in early gastric cancer

Gastric cancer continues to be an important healthcare problem. Early gastric cancer (EGC) has an encouraging outcome, early diagnoses and interventions are the keys to decrease mortality and improve survival, in which a major role is played by endoscopy. This review covers the development of endoscopic diagnosis and treatment for EGC.
