AB44. Serpin B1 expression in gastric carcinoma tissues and its relationship with biological behavior of gastric carcinoma

Objective: To analyze Serpin B1 expression in gastric adenocarcinoma and its relationship with clinical biological behavior.

Methods: 80 cases of gastric adenocarcinoma with complete clinical and pathological data were served as the experimental group while 40 cases of normal gastric tissue were served as a control group; the 2010 version of WHO clinical and pathological classification and staging of stomach tumor was used as a reference to categorize the clinical and pathological data; immunohistochemistry method was used for detection Serpin B1 expression in both gastric adenocarcinoma and gastric normal tissue; statistical software SPSS13.0 was used to analyze the relationship between Serpin B1 expression and clinicopathological parameters of gastric carcinoma.

Results: (I) The positive expression rate of Serpin B1 in gastric adenocarcinoma was 71.25%, while expression rate of the normal tissue was 15%, which showed statistically significant difference (P<0.01); (II) Serpin B1 expression had no significant correlation with patient’s age, gender, tumor size, location, or distant metastases (P>0.05), but was closely related with the depth of tumor invasion, degree of differentiation, lymph node metastasis and clinical stage (P

Conclusions: Serpin B1 expression is closely related with depth of invasion, degree of differentiation, lymph node metastasis, clinical stage of tumor and so on.
