AB60. Combined laparoscopic and endoscopic treatment for gastrointestinal stromal tumors

Objective: To evaluate the clinical value of laparoscopy combined with gastroscopy for treating gastric stromal tumors.

Methods: 7 patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumor of stomach received combined laparoscopic and endoscopic treatment.

Results: Operation was completed successfully within 63-155 mins in all 7 patients, with the mean operative time of (102.2±26.3) min and blood loss ranging from 20-150 mL. The mean postoperative hospital stay was (6.6±1.9) days, no postoperative complication was observed. No case of recurrence or metastasis was found during a follow-up period of 4 to 15 months.

Conclusions: Laparoscopy combined with gastroscopy for treating gastic stromal tumors is both feasible and safe, and more minimal invasive with a favorable short-term outcome.. Nowadays, there is a good prospect in the development of minimally invasive surgery.
